A few years back I was working in the Levi’s Tailor Shop, and somehow had forgotten that Michael Williams of A Continuous Lean came by to document it. I was looking for some images of the shop when his article popped up. Pretty stoked! Worth checking out if you missed the article the first time around.

Since then, one of my former co-workers (hey Rolend!) has gone on to help head-up the Levi’s Concept Store in NYC’s Meatpacking district. They’ve got a rad space, and in addition to the normal offerings, they’re also doing made-to-measure jeans, which is pretty awesome. Freshness did an article on their store opening up here, and a super rad video about them here.

Even though I’m in Los Angeles, where wearing heavy leather and wool boots would be, well, stupid, I’m still lusting over these. Perfect for the upcoming winter months, (in those places that actually have winter months) these ankle boots from Ateliers Heschung are definitely doing it for me. Though at $860, I better start buying lottery tickets.
Available now at The Corner.
I’ve been a fan of Efterklang since seeing Vincent Moon’s 2011 movie “An Island,” and this teaser video about the making of their new album is something of a magical continuation. The band traveled to Spitsbergen, an abandoned Russian settlement near the North Pole, to collect site-specific field recordings, and if the short clip of a song is any indication, this album is really something I’m going to look forward to.

I popped into DF Feet here in LA over the weekend, and was super stoked to see this half finished shoe hanging out in a display. I love the yet-to-be-trimmed sole, but the raw elements mixed with the pebbled leather feels super fresh to me. I’d definitely rock this pair as-is!
